A raucous morning of sidesplitting musical sketch comedy comprised entirely of stories written by kids! The award winning show has been described as "Monty Python meets Schoolhouse Rock." Story Pirates was founded in 2003 by a group of recent Northwestern graduates who recognized the discrepancy between the arts-rich environments of their childhoods and the situations in many under-resourced New York City public schools. Their solution is to show kids everywhere that their ideas, their words, and their stories are important. They make kids' own stories the basis for a big, loud, outrageous, musical sketch comedy show, because they believe kids' imaginations are worth cultivating and ought to be celebrated.
