The recent statuette-throwing at Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi might leave most of us scratching our heads, mostly because we know so little about him. But over the past 15 years, Berlusconi has served as Prime Minister of Italy three times, and by controlling 90% of Italy's news outlets, he's also become one of the world's most influential mass-media moguls. Half-Swedish, half-Italian director Erik Gandini grew up with Berlusconi's images on TV, and in Videocracy he uncovers the world leader's bizarre beauty fetishes through a real-life cast of characters, including a fascist talent agent, a nosy neighbor, and a modern-day Robin Hood who takes from the rich and gives to himself.
