Part of the series Kevin Geeks Out.

Kevin Geeks Out is the comedy-variety show hosted by writer-comedian Kevin Maher – a monthly confabulation of vintage film clips and videos, new finds, guest experts, games and curiosities. To geek out with Kevin you don’t need to be a geek, you just need to love cool stuff.

This month, Kevin Geeks Out about MONKEYS! The 2-hour show will feature dozens of clips from classic (and lesser-known) movies and TV shows, as well as Saturday morning cartoons, pop songs and comedy shorts about apes, chimps, gorillas, orangutans, baboons and more. With special guests:
• Cartoonist Michael Kupperman shares his own Chimp-centric comics.
• Monkey poetry by "Spoken Nerd" Artist Ernie Cline (screenwriter, Fanboys).
• Writer M. Sweeney Lawless looks at the British giant Chimp film that tried to out-Kong American cinema.
• Quizmaster Noah Tarnow (host of "Big Quiz Thing") tests the audience’s knowledge of simians.
• Author and professor Geoff Klock examines the Gorilla as Super-Villain.
Carrie McLaren of Monkeywire.org looks back at a mid-century traveling side-show where chimps boxed humans.
Our celebration of primate entertainment includes a salute to famous actors playing opposite monkeys, lessons in how to pantomime in a gorilla suit and we'll share a never before screened deleted scene from King Kong. Each admission includes a heaping helping of Gorilla Munch cereal (donated by Nature's Path). And each audience member receives a special surprise that will make them the envy of their friends and a hero of small children.
