Remember Me is the ambitious collaboration between choreographer David Parsons and East Village Opera Company's Tyley Ross and AnnMarie Milazzo. This hot-blooded, boy-girl-boy triangle is set against an interchangeable video screen and danced to rock arrangements of familiar opera tunes sung onstage by Ross and Milazzo. Parsons' choreography captures the essence of the emotions being sung, allowing for creative movement; in other words, the singers and dancers speak the same erotic language. Remember Me doesn't provide many laughs, but it does have cheeky homages to the over-the-top ballets of yesteryear.
