Never Say Never to a Sing-Along! Steven Spielberg's first animated presentation tells the story of Fievel Mousekewitz and his family of Russian-Jewish mice who flee their 19th century homeland for America in an effort to escape Czarist rule in cat form. Upon arrival in New York City, Fievel is accidentally separated from the rest of his clan. Feeling secure that There Are No Cats in America, he swiftly embarks on a quest to reconnect with his family and encounters several characters along the way. Tony, a street-wise Italian mouse and Bridget, an Irish mouse join Fievel in his search and when a gang of cats called the Mott Street Maulers attack a nearby marketplace, Fievel realizes America may not be all that different and clings to the hope that his family is Somewhere Out There.
