Screening plus conversation with film editor Tim Squyres and author Bobbie O'Steen.
Gosford Park is a whodunit as only director Robert Altman could do it. As a hunting party gathers at the country estate, no one is aware that before the weekend is over, someone will be murdered - twice! The police are baffled but the all-seeing, all-hearing servants know that almost everyone had a motive. This critically-acclaimed murder mystery features a who's who of celebrated actors, including Clive Owen, Maggie Smith, Helen Mirren and Kristen Scott Thomas.
Following the screening, author Bobbie O'Steen and film editor Tim Squyres will discuss his work on Gosford Park. Squyres will also run a sequence with O'Steen from Gosford Park and analyze his process as well as discuss the experience of working with director Robert Altman. O'Steen will sign her two books, The Invisible Cut: How Editors Make Movie Magic (2009) and Cut To The Chase: Forty-Five Years of Editing America's Favorite Movies, a book she wrote with legendary Hollywood film editor Sam O'Steen.
