Ever had the urge to take a pair of scissors to Charles’ famous ponytail? Now is your chance! Join us as the hair-raising madness begins February 23rd at 7:30pm at the Housing Works Bookstore Café.
Want to do more than be a witness? You can bid to seize the shears yourself and vote for a new hairstyle – including mullet, Mohawk, and the always flattering 70s shag. Mark your calendar for midnight February 22nd as the ponytail is hair today and gone tomorrow! Additional live bidding and voting will take place at the Shear Madness event – don’t miss it.
All proceeds from Shear Madness support the Keith D. Cylar Activist Fund, which enables activism and advocacy for people living with HIV and AIDS worldwide. This year, the fund will support the efforts of activists in Haiti as they rebuild vital AIDS service organizations in the wake of the devastating earthquake.
