92YTribeca says…

Hosted by Bianca Ahmadi and Juan David Gonzalez Monroy, with the premiere of their new documentary And It Was Good.

The Ghosts in the Eye is a survey of films that explore the outer reaches of documentary filmmaking. Through both new and established works this program seeks to illuminate a manner of filmmaking that presents a "haunted" vision of reality. Haunted, as in fixated with the need to penetrate reality and seek out the images that live outside the well known world of plot, production value and marketability. And yet, also haunting, as in obsessively challenging the viewer to look for the hidden meaning and the undisclosed truth. Through their particular points of view these films investigate the spaces that exist in the nooks and crannies of our cultural line of sight.

And It Was Good

The Bible comes to life in Petersburg, Kentucky. In 70,000 square feet the Creation Museum presents a state of the art walking tour of the holy book's history. And It Was Good follows this journey as it examines the everlasting battle between good and evil. Taking a stand against Darwin and his supporters, The Creation Museum gives us videos depicting the seven days of creation, Adam and Eve sharing the garden of Eden with animatronic dinosaurs, a recreation of the construction of Noah's Ark, the science behind the great flood and an account of the sins of the modern age.
