RAWdance's fearless co-artistic directors Wendy Rein and Ryan T. Smith aren't afraid to show a little skin in the pursuit of a core truth. The San Francisco-based company stops by the Joyce's intimate Soho space to premiere Fallout, a full-length work exploring the dissolution of
"family values" as defined by the 1950s household. Rein and Smith aim to strip away layers of artifice, reveal the dark side of "perfection," and explore a wide spectrum of coupling and raising offspring while playing with conventions of the period — including Doris Day tunes and picket fences.
