Each week a new excerpt from famed playwright Jean Claude van Itallie's poetic adaptation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead will be reenacted in the Rubin Museum Galleries. These fifteen minute vignettes illuminate the traditional text in, offering visitors a theatrical introduction to the works of art exhibited in the Rubin exhibition, Bardo: The Tibetan Art of Death. Following each performance, visitors can further explore the Bardo exhibition with museum guides.
