What does it mean to be the daughter of "the most famous Palestinian-American"? In Palestine, Najla Said — daughter of the late Edward Said, author, professor, and regular media commentator — lets us into her anti-political, Upper-West-Side-princess youth, while her father becomes ever-more political, ever-more controversial. Although Najla Said, the performer, is not very memorable, Najla Said, the writer is. With a touch of humor she lays out her personal experience; in the best sense of the word, Palestine is a mediation: a way to understand another side.
