92YTribeca says…

This month's guest judge, writer/comedian Ritch Duncan, will join hosts Jay Stern and Victor Varnado.

"The Iron Mule" is a 1925 slapstick comedy by the great silent comedian Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, featuring Buster Keaton as an Indian! The name also describes the movies we love to show; tough, burly, uncompromising shorts which can't be stopped.

We are a collective of filmmakers and film lovers who meet monthly to celebrate funny and inventive short cinema among friends. Join us if you dare!

This month's program includes three shorts by acclaimed cartoonist and illustrator Laurie Rosenwald, including one made in collaboration with David Sedaris. He offered her some short diary entries to make into short animated films and recorded himself reading one of them into her iphone.

Also screening:
Louis Grenier's Don't Put That There – a film that was 17 years in the making! It combines footage shot in 1991 and 2008.

Brinquedos shot in a small fishing village in Brazil and featuring a cast of local non-actors.

Official Selection is a parody of film festival movies and features Iron Mule's first ever on camera exploding car!
