Caramoor Jazz Fest producer Jim Luce brings a whopping 200 hours of Chopin to the spacious, palm tree-filled digs of the World Financial Center in celebration of the romantic classical composer's bicentennial birthday. Four fine pianos from Bosendorfer, Steinway, and Kawai have been strategically placed around the building and welcome amateurs to show off their chops each morning. At noon, professionals and students from top conservatories take over. As the the sun goes down each night, heavyweights like the brilliantly innovative Christopher O' Riley, whose renditions of Radiohead are nothing short of sublime, take the stage at the Winter Garden.
