The Met presents this film directed by Michael Riley to accompany the special exhibition Contemporary Aboriginal Painting from Australia, on view through June 13. Dreamings: The Art of Aboriginal Australia explores the symbolism of aboriginal art, from acrylic dot paintings of the Central Desert to bark paintings and burial poles from the Northern Territory (30 min.). The screening will take place in the Bonnie J. Sacerdote Lecture Hall in the Uris Center for Education at 2 p.m.
