This Brooklyn-based band combines Latin beats with a tinge of jazz and rootsy folk. Singers Allyssa Lamb and Emily Hurst formed the group several years ago to both escape their classical choir and to explore Mexican songs. Tonight's show marks the release of their third album, Ziguala, and we can't think of a better place to hear the lush songs than the inviting digs of the acoustically sound Joe's Pub. Dual vocals add to the rich sound, as do a bevy of instruments, including vibes and a Hammond B-3 organ.
