Robert E. Rubin served as our nation's 70th secretary of the treasury from 1995 to 1999, during which time he played a leading role in many of our most important policy debates. From 1999 to 2009, he was a member of the board of directors at Citigroup and a senior advisor to the company. He is chairman of the board of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, the nation's leading community development support organization. He is also cochairman of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is author of In an Uncertain World: Tough Choices from Wall Street to Washington, a New York Times best seller and one of Business Week's 10 Best Business Books of the Year.
Sebastian Mallaby is director of the Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geo-economic Studies and the Paul A. Volcker Senior Fellow for International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations.
