92YTribeca says…

Grant Hart Returns to 92YTribeca! Hart was only 17 when he founded iconic band Hüsker Dü in 1979 with Greg Norton and Bob Mould. They became one of the most influential bands of the 1980s, a precursor to the alt rock explosion of the '90s and their output on the legendary SST label and then Warner Brothers is a cornerstone of the current indie scene. Hart's solo records since leaving the band in 1987 have channeled Hüsker Dü's combination of punk aggression and melodic hooks into subtle, thematic renderings that build up to dramatic climaxes. Last year's Hot Wax has been called the best of his solo work and we're proud to welcome him back after his show here last December in support of the album.

"Rough-edged local outfit the Octagon seems to have a limitless supply of memorable and crazily efficient (read: really, really short) indie-pop gems at its fingertips. Its new one, Nothing but Change—on the refreshingly unpretentious local indie Serious Business—is crammed with the kind of tunes you want to put on mixtapes for your best friends; song after song, the disc is brisk, clever, fiery and bravely poignant."
