Performing at The Bowery Ballroom with Field Music, The Clientele are a four piece group formed in Hampshire, England in 1997. Their sound combines the melody of 60's pop-psych heroes The Monkees, Love, and The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, as well as the later, magical strangeness of Felt, Television, and Galaxie 500. They immediately set about releasting 7-inch singles through different labels in the UK, Spain, Japan, and USA; compiling these to product the cinematic, soft-focus beauty of their debut album, "Suburban Light", released in 2000. Most recently, they have garnered Hollywood attention, with one of the more poignent songs on their latest album, "Strange Geometry" scoring the opening scenes of the Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock movie, "The Lake House".
