“For those who missed Flying Lotus' mind-blowing performance for the Wordless Music series back in 2008, here's your chance at redemption. Tonight, the LA-based beatmaker — touted by some as the West Coast's sunnier answer to Burial — returns to LPR to preview cuts from his forthcoming Warp album, Cosmogramma. (We've heard the album, and all we can say is that it's creaky, crackly, weirdly beautiful, and beautifully weird. And, yes, it includes a track with Thom Yorke pulling guest vocals, and it's damn good.) He's joined by London dubstep producer Kode9, whose sludgy bass mutations should provide a suitably trippy complement.”
