The Barefoot Theatre hosts a double celebration tonight. Their 70/70 Project, a worldwide festival featuring 70 plays by playwright Israel Horovitz, comes to an end just as the playwright celebrates his 71st. The final work is Unexpected Tenderness, written in 1994. A memory play, the adult Roddy Stern looks back on his troubled relationship with his father. This staged reading is directed by Terry Kinney, a founding member of Chicago's Steppenwolf, and features Barefoot regulars Lynn Cohen, Anna Chlumsky, and Sol Freider.
