“Imagine a night at Madison Square Garden not accompanied by rampant male-pattern baldness or the Jonas Brothers. It's nice to see the great double-bill of Muse/Silversun Pickups fill such a huge venue, and it's a testament to both bands' popularity that despite middling reviews for their most recent records, only nosebleed sherpa seats remain. Some over-the-top Queen moments plagued The Resistance, but Muse are known for always having an elaborate stage set-up and mind-blowing light show. Silversun Pickups meanwhile act as the mid-tempo, less operatic musical foil, spreading their distorted guitar noise to the far reaches of the Garden. Playing a venue this size is a victory lap for both bands, so rock out to the Pickups and brace yourself for serious Freddie Mercury time with Muse.”
