Haiti
Thursday Apr 1, 2010 (6pm)
The New School’s Lang Café, 65 West 11th Street (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues)
A panel discussion about the challenges of addressing AIDS in Haiti after the earthquake. According to the United Nations, AIDS healthcare in Haiti is “under serious threat” and it is “imperative” that relief efforts address AIDS. Yet neither the Haitian government, the U.N. nor the U.S. has a plan for doing so.
The panel, which is cosponsored by Housing Works and The New School’s Office of Intercultural Support and Student Health Services, will feature five activists from PHAP+, Haiti’s coalition of community-based AIDS organizations.
Reception: 6PM to 6:30PM
Discussion: 6:30PM to 8PM

The panel is co-sponsored by Housing Works and The New School’s Office of Intercultural Support and Student Health Services.
