This exhibition includes 38 alabaster statuettes of mourners, carved between 1443 and 1456, which decorated the extravagant and innovative tomb of John the Fearless, Duke of Burgundy, and his wife, Margaret of Bavaria. This talk will be given by Charles T. Little, curator of medieval art at the Met. Meet at the entrance to Medieval Sculpture Hall on the 1st floor at 11 a.m.
