“While continuing to make their rounds across North America, the John Lydon-fronted band stops in the city to perform two shows. While we're excited as it is for Lydon's appearance in New York, with the recent death of Malcolm McLaren, the former Sex Pistols manager who helped Lydon (then Johnny Rotten) become the figurehead of the punk movement, his performance is not only exciting but an unavoidably poignant homage.”

This show has been moved from Terminal 5 for an intimate filming for a forthcoming PiL documentary directed by Alex Mar and produced by Artists Public Domain.
After fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed PiL in 1978 and with their experimental sound fusing rock, dance, folk, ballet, pop, and dub, the band is regarded as producing some of the most diverse music of the 70s and 80s. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of their first U.S. tour as well as their U.S. TV debut on “American Bandstand.” PiL recently returned to U.S. television for the first time in 18 years when they performed on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” outdoor stage. On this spring trek PiL are showcasing the unique sounds of tracks such as “Public Image,” “This Is Not a Love Song,” “Rise,” and “Disappointed,” with many further surprises in store.
