It seems like the city's been a flurry of artwork, all dealing with process. Whether we're viewing the installation of an exhibit (a Damien Hirst butterflies collage on the floor!), watching artists create a room-sized sculpture over four weeks while blindfolded, or discussing progress with people of various ages while walking through a museum, art enthusiasts, it seems, are craving the demystification of "art." PS1's answer is Greater New York. The exhibit is at once a showcase of the work of 68 artists, as well as a stage for an active on-site creation exploring New York's legacy as a hot-spot of diversity and an inspiration to artists. Here's to process!

P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center says…

MoMA PS1 says:

Greater New York is the third iteration of the quinquennial exhibition organized by MoMA PS1 and The Museum of Modern Art, showcasing 68 artists and collectives living and working in the metropolitan New York area. Covering a full range of practices and mediums, the artists in Greater New York are inspired by living in one of the most diverse and provocative centers of cultural activity in the world. A number of artists are being commissioned to work in residence in MoMA PS1's gallery space to shoot photographs and video, rehearse and realize performances, and stretch the notions of sculpture, painting, photography, film, and video-making.
