Electric Literature is known for its innovative distribution of the short story across new media platforms, and its artful products like the Single Sentence Animation video series. In the spirit of such artistic collaboration, for the launch of Issue 4 the Golden Palominos reunite, a band that (between 1982-1996) was a loose collective of collaborators who have included John Zorn, Michael Stipe, Arto Lindsay, Carla Bley, and Bootsie Collins — among many others. Also eagerly anticipated: Goldberg's banjo variations.

(Le) Poisson Rouge says…

Reuniting to play live for the first time in more than two decades, The Golden Palominos, 1985-87, with Syd Straw will join local literary rockers in unveiling Electric Literature’s 4th fiction anthology. The evening features The Wingdale Community Singers, with author Rick Moody on guitar and vocals, and Brooklyn indie-rockers The Walking Hellos, featuring Myla Goldberg (best-selling author of Bee Season) on banjo and accordion. Electric Literature’s mission is to use new media and innovative distribution to keep literature a vital part of popular culture.
