“Paris Syndrome is a genuine disorder experienced primarily by female Japanese tourists where their French culture shock is so great that they become delusional. The six talented ladies of Ex.Pgirl's own Paris Syndrome is more revue than review, which makes for fun and sharp observation. The Ex.Ps divide into "French" and "Japanese" teams cheerleading their homelands, quizzing the audience, presenting tableaux of famous paintings, and offering up celebrity guest appearances. Like tourists, they are in constant motion but do so with exceptional grace. It is when they stop that the questions of identity start. With few words and in bypassing the realities of post-9/11 travel, Ex.P captures the giddiness and bittersweet moments that comprise a true journey.”
