Contemporary photographs inspired by iconic ones are the basis of this exhibit, which includes over 30 well-known and emerging international artists. Terence Koh parodies Marcel Duchamp, Eric Kroll references Man Ray's use of masked figures, and Alinka Echeverria's Pilgrims cite Richard Avedon's American West. Through appropriation, parody, and pastiche, old motifs and gestures are transformed into timely connotations.

Summer 2010 has taken shape with a group show that started in Vancouver, screened in Houston over one weekend and all summer long on board VIA Rail's Ocean Limited train between Montreal and Halifax. The group show winds down in Chelsea at Steven Kasher Gallery in New York.
