“Entirely earnest, See Rock City is a far cry from pushing any musical-theatre boundaries, but the show creates its fair share of warm and fuzzies through a handful of vignettes, some less cheesy than others. Each storyline takes place at a different US tourist destination — from Rock City to Coney Island and the Alamo. And the spare production elements are a lovely antidote from the show's highfalutin Broadway neighbors in Times Square; a lovely way to still take your visiting relatives to a show on 42nd Street.”
