“Anna Fishbeyn begins her one-woman show with a smile that never fades, even when describing chaos. Her lively monologue (with an occasional song and pole dance) recounts a weekend with her husband, two young children, and mother as she nears completion of an article for Bitch entitled Sex in Mommyville. Funny stories about her Russian heritage, bribing her daughter with organic brownies, and attempts at making out with her husband are interspersed with her evolving article's sharp autobiographical descriptions of chronic fatigue and restless libido. Yet even in her serious moments, Fishbeyn keeps her sense of humor. She's a gifted writer and engaging storyteller. We get the idea that it'd be nice having coffee with her... if she weren't so busy.”
