Playwright Florencia Lozano revisits her childhood home and the psychological state of her 13-year-old self, in underneathmybed. Escaping Argentina's "Dirty War" and its thousands of disappearances (read: murders and torture sessions) in the early 1980's, Daisy's family finds themselves in a quiet, leafy suburb of Boston. But Daisy cannot escape the imagined horrors that might have happened had they stayed. Striking an original tone with a mixture of magic realism, comedy, and horror, Daisy's fears are physically represented on stage, constantly threatening to slip through into her reality. The show is a haunting meditation on memory and fate.
