At Scandinavia House, 58 Park Avenue: Amy Ryan’s Oscar-nominated performance as a drug-addicted mother in Gone Baby Gone established her as one of America’s leading screen actresses. She also appeared memorably in movies directed by Paul Greengrass (Green Zone), Clint Eastwood (The Changeling), and Sidney Lumet (Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead), and on TV as “Beadie” on The Wire and as Holly on The Office. Ryan will discuss her career and introduce a preview screening of her latest film, Jack Goes Boating (opens in theaters 9/17). A tale of love, betrayal, and friendship focusing on two NYC couples, Jack Goes Boating markes the directorial debut of Philip Seymour Hoffman (who co-stars).
