Food writing has never been more popular. Cooking and eating in writing reveal a lot about characters and their personalities, domestic lives and cultural histories. Something is always happening when characters are preparing and eating (or not eating) food. Through readings and writing exercises, this class will look at the ways in which writing about food is a lens for our greater world.
