Spike Jonze is a factory of cool. Everything he does instantly enters cult status. I'm Here, the short film he produced with Absolut's backing, is no different. The 30-minute mini masterpiece starring Andrew Garfield (Never Let Me Go, Boy A) is a robot love story that features music by Sleigh Bells, Animal Collective, and the Lost Trees, a band made up of Nick Zinner, Flea, and Aska Matsumiya. Tonight Jonze screens the short and plugs his McSweeny published book, There Are Many of Us, which explores the making of the film through interviews with key crew members and includes a DVD and the CD soundtrack.
