The Japanese all-female trio, Shonen Knife, enjoys a solid worldwide following with their Ramones-meets-the-Beatles brand of stickly sweet punk-pop. They've made major fans out of alt-rock elites such as Sonic Youth, Nirvana and Red Kross as well as Yoshitomo Nara. Nara's design of their 1998 album Happy Hour is on view in the Museum.
