Debbie Harry at Max's Kansas City
Thursday Sep 30, 2010 (7pm)

“Max's Kansas City opened in 1965 and quickly became a favorite hangout of poets, artists, and musicians including Andy Warhol and Factory members, Philip Glass, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and Debbie Harry. Aerosmith was allegedly signed to Columbia on its premises. Come to this discussion on one of New York's most celebrated nightlife venues with some of the artists who were there and lived to tell. And find out once and for all how the place, which had no ties to Kansas City, got its name.”
