“There aren't many labels that engender more automatic respect among technofiles than Berlin's BPitch Control. So when label head Ellen Allien decided to bring over a couple of her longtime producers, alongside some serious up-and-coming talent, New York's biggest party promoters banded together to furnish her with a proper showcase. BPitch Control releases drift to the headier side of techno, so it'll be interesting to see where tonight's artists fall on the spectrum between brainy and banging. We know by now that Ellen Allien is capable of slamming bass hard against the wall, and Finnish producer Kiki can turn out inspired jacking tech-house sets. The biggest wild card is newbie Nicolas Jaar, a 19-year-old Brown student whose recent remix of Allien's track "Flashy Flashy" is wonky and sexy in all the right places.”

Bpitch Control is making its way over the Big Apple with its queen who started it all, Ellen Allien. Along with her, the second in command, Sascha Funke will be bringing a kind of techno that sways between the polarity of emotional overload and concrete rationale. Kiki will be making his long awaited return to New York and will be adding his unique style which encapsulates everything exciting about electronic music. Everyone's favorite New Yorker, Alexi Delano, who has been a very important part of electronic dance music for the past two decades now, will be delivering his trademark sound. Completing the Bpitch showcase will be kid wonder Nicolas Jaar who will be performing a very special live set.
