Titled after Joseph Beuys' infamous performance I Like America and America Likes Me (in which the artist lived in a small gallery along with a coyote), I Like the Art World and the Art World Likes Me features artists who use the art world as source material to explore the tension between emerging and established artists. The exhibit, curated by "bootleg" artist Eric Doeringer, presents special events like artist Filip Noterdaeme's Homeless Museum booth, from which the artist greets visitors every Saturday from 1-6pm; a discussion with artists Jennifer Dalton, Loren Munk, and William Powhida; and an evening of performances inspired by the art world, including advice from the Estheticist (aka Pablo Helguera) and Dr. Lisa Levy. We like this exhibit and this exhibit likes us.

Note:

The dates for the artist discussion and the evening of performances inspired by the art world are TBA, so check back for updated information.
