"Yummy" might be the best word to describe Rirkrit Tiravanija's current installation at MoMA. The conceptual artist's Untitled (Free/Still), which can be found in the museum's Contemporary Galleries, is an interactive work in which a delicious Thai curry is served for free (yes, free!) during designated hours. First appearing at 303 Gallery in 1992, the sculpture-come-performance has travelled the world and recently found a permanent home at MoMA. Tiravanija, winner of the 2004 Hugo Boss award, has created a number of boundary-broadening, living artworks. In 2005, he built a low-power television station in the Guggenheim, and a recent exhibition at Gavin Brown featured a soup kitchen and a t-shirt factory. He has even published a cookbook — an item you may consider purchasing after trying his curry.

On the way to (or from) your curry consuming, check out Dieter Roth's Solo Scenes, filmmaker Steve McQueen's Deadpan, or recent works by Andrea Zittel or Senga Nengudi all housed in the Contemporary Galleries.
