“City Hall Park is an unlikely hotbed of great contemporary art. But if you happen to be in lower Manhattan, you should stop in for a stroll to check out this new survey of Sol Lewitt's sculptures, Sol Lewitt: Structures: 1965-2006, and see why the park gives any gallery a run for its money. Structures, presented by the Public Art Fund, exhibits a collection of Lewitt's sculptures that have never been shown together, and some of which have never been shown in the US. Lewitt's prominent structures reseonate against Manhattan's grid and skyline, making City Hall Park a perfect place to view them.”
