“Part of Make Music New York's auditory takeover, this special event kicks off at sunrise. From 5am to 8am, Yoko Ono guides anyone and everyone in a performance of her Secret Piece. Upon meeting at Columbus Circle, participants are sent to a secluded place in Central Park where they can play any instrument (voice included) and any one note of their choice. With just the accompaniment of the park and chirping birds, early morning enthusiasts welcome the summer solstice with Yoko Ono's simple 1953 composition.
