“Indie-rock fans, it's time to wake up to Nova Scotia's Wintersleep. Despite producing four solid to exceptional full-lengths and opening for Pearl Jam, Broken Social Scene, and Paul McCartney, the Juno Award-winning quintet have never quite gotten their due in the US. They did make it as far as Letterman last year, but other than that, exposure has been weak. Pitchfork didn't even rate the Canuck's last release New Interiors (2010), which features catchy hooks, intricately crafted arrangements, and intelligent lyrics delivered by frontman Paul Murphy. A listen to the title track could likely land you in bed with the guys. Tonight's bill also serves up Hardly Art's cracker-jack pop duo, Pretty & Nice.”
