Like a speedier version of the Moth, Vol. 1 Brooklyn's Greatest 3-Minute Story series gives participants a prompt (this month's is "movies") and just 180 seconds to share their best. story. ever. Jason Diamond (Vol. 1 founder and, recently, also Flavorpill NYC/BK Deputy Editor) hosts as writers and editors from The Paris Review, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, the NY Times Magazine, and many more attempt to impress under some pretty serious time constraints.

(Le) Poisson Rouge says…

On Wednesday March 7th, Vol. 1 Brooklyn brings its popular Greatest 3-Minute Story Series to Manhattan for the first time, and our readers are telling stories about movies. Each of our readers gets 180 seconds each to tell a story (fiction, non, personal essay, top ten list, whatever...), and we've got a pretty impressive lineup to bring to the Gallery at LPR stage. The event is totally free, starts at 6 PM, and is hosted by Vol. 1's Jason Diamond.
