I got stopped by a copper in Dublin for riding a bike with no lights. He told me six people had been killed on bikes in Ireland the previous year and was annoyed when I responded, "That's all?" He told me to walk home, but I rode. Fight the power!

Less. Nothing shocks as much as the first time. Witness Rent (now closed) when it came out it was shocking, groundbreaking stuff. Today, while still good, it's quaint.

I was at lunch Saturday with two friends, and one of them started berating me for having declared I would finish my giant overcooked cheeseburger despite its lack of bloody center, and then admitting defeat and putting it down (too many fries. that's how they getcha). "Are you a liar?? Don't be a liar, Rina. Cause you know where liars go." -beat- "Baskin Robbins. ...They never have 31 flavors!"
