the day i unexpectedly went mute was the same day i fell quickly out of favor with the world once everyone realized they'd no longer be hearing any of my enthralling stories or my unrivaled wit. at least i was able to weed out the deadwood

I was the leader of the pack in high school, a mean girl, then I got mono and my second in command staged a coup. I was friendless when I returned to school.

when white girls get drunk and then think they are dancing all sexy when in reaility it only emphasizes their desperation. the amplified movements of buttocks, thighs and the corners of lips is a warning to males that there is probably something wrong with them.

- What was your bravest act of dissent?

I sewed slipcovers that fit over the beat up church kneelers in St. Patrick's Cathedral and embroidered the word EQUALITY on them. So when someone went to kneel and pray, they flipped down the kneeler and discovered this beautiful kneeler that read EQUALITY. Indirectly it asks the person to pray for Equality in the church as well as being equal to the person next to them.

- What gets your vote for New York's best outdoor venue?

The non-existent ones. My vision for a city of good summer night life has boats that serve as cafes or clubs and roof tops with comfy couches that serve as a refuge from the dance party. For now though, the free IKEA ferry is a pretty good time.

Socrates Sculpture Park -- What other place offers quirky contemporary sculpture presented in situ of a beautiful garden, wind chimes following the laws of physics, and a view of the NYC skyline across the river! It's a perfect match of nature and artfulness.

I have eclectic taste in friends -- some gay tweakers, some countrified rednecks, some corporate dweebs -- and every single one of them has loved the Warm-Up parties at PS1. Hosting a music event outdoors can be tough, as energy can dissipate under open skies, but somehow those dirty little freaks at PS1 throw it down every time.
