What comic-book character would you want to hang out with, and why?

"Storm" So I could keep a record on my answering machine of her canceling our date due to continuous bad weather. Damn!, it would be sooo... money to hit that. Think about it, she black, big boobs, blue eyes. white hair. A Goddess on paper.

With Batman, though probably for the wrong reasons. I'd try to make him go all Vietnam Vet crazy by screaming, "Oh no, that shady character is about to kill that poor boys parents!" in the hope that it would trigger some PTSD hilarity. With any luck, it would d end with Batman screaming, "Why didn't you love me Mommie?!" and covered in blood.

Tell us your most frightening combination of a food product and an animal.

was eating a bag of niknaks and splitting a few bottles of wine with a few buddies on our porch in the south african bush two years ago. as the night went on, and the wine consumption continued, our voices grew as did our consumption of said niknaks. heard a few footsteps in the distance, immediately bolted inside our cabin. a hyena walks by, sniffs at our food and walks off. we walk back out relieved and slightly embarrassed that it was just a hyena. a few minutes later, we hear footsteps again. assuming it was the hyena, we just quieted down hoping it'd pass and be no big thing. low and behold, it was no hyena. a lion instead. we stood frozen for at least a minute, as it walked by, glanced at us and continued on its way. needless to say, we went to bed at that point. with niknaks in hand.

In the street markets in Hong Kong, they have these barrels full of live snakes. Which is weird for the snakes, because snakes don't have eyelids. Anyway, you walk up to the vendor, carefully select your serpent, the vendor grabs it, slits it open from the throat on down as you watch it writhe, then catches its blood in a cup while he boils the (slowly dying) snake in a broth. The result: snake soup with a shot of blood on the side. Apparently, it gives you frightening strength.

If you had to make a documentary about one building in New York, which would you choose, and why?

If I had to make a documentary about one building in New York, I would choose the Rubin museum (150 West 17th Street), which houses an exceptional collection of Himalayan art. I was just speaking to a friend about the significance of this building over the years. Chelsea itself has changed, and it evolved from a run down space into Barney's, and even the scene for Carrie Bradshaw's book release party on Sex and the City. The current museum allows many to experience artwork from the mystical East in an unprecedented and in-depth manner. A strong theme behind this documentary might be the REINCARNATION of buildings over time, reminding New Yorkers of the past lives within our surroundings. Of course this concept also ties nicely into the artwork in the museum. More info on the Rubin museum: http://www.rmanyc.org

What was your most embarrassing moment on the dance floor?

It was my 15th birthday party, quincianiera style, you know, when a young girl turns 15 years old in Caracas Venezuela, she is given the right to womanhood by throwing a massive party with her closest and most popular school friends. Well, it was my turn to open the dancefloor and I was dancing with my best guy friend, when he twirled me arround, way too many, many times, as we where dancing the first merengue song of the nite, after 5 minutes, friends started to pour into the dance floor. I smiled the whole time while i was shaking my bootie, until my best girl friend told me that my skirt went up everytime i twirled, giving a non disturbed view of my granny underwear!! Yikkessss!!! I never been more embarrased in my life. PS, I have it all on tape to remember

I was wearing a halter top and dancing with a friend who decided to put me on his shoulders. At that moment, my top came undone my breasts were hanging out for all to see. I was very unsteady and afraid of falling, so I had to use both hands to hold on. I finally used one hand to pull up my top and screamed loudly enough that he put me down. I was quite popular on the dance floor after that!

What DJ would spin at your dream BBQ, and why?

Luciano, because he never fails to deliver a wonderfully euphoric set. His perfect blends of melodic minimal and loopy deep house are a heavenly delight for any time of day. Plus, those South Americans love their meat and this handsome producer would light up any party. Although a husband and father, he still knows how to have fun. My electronic BBQ would be the best.
