Chinatown Taxidermy Tour

Nate and his fish heads

Nate and his fish heads (Photo: Justin Charles)

We arrived for the Chinatown Taxidermy Tour filled with an uneasy mixture of curiosity and fear (we enjoyed our dinners, would we soon be seeing them in reverse?). What awaited us, though, was only slightly scary. Donning a helmet and what appeared to be a parachuting jumpsuit, Brooklyn artist Nate Hill was all smiles as he played mother duck to the surprisingly enormous number of attendants, leading us field-trip style through the streets of Chinatown to his favorite garbage spots. While pulling egg sacks and chunks of hair out of the trash isn't something we'd do on a daily basis, we must admit the tour was informative. Now, if we're ever in search of free fish heads or frog skeletons, we'll know just where to go. flavorpill.com/newyork/events/2007/11/8/chinatown-taxider...
