- The message was clear: don't linger outside the Market Hotel, because the neighbors might object to the hundreds of sweaty, ecstatic kids rocking out — or at least to the 20-year-old getting his first tattoo behind the coat check. Shooting Spires impressed us with their potential, and we were pleased for them when a throng forced past us like the group was already a legend. They were no match for Genghis Tron, though, who swept in with an elaborate, self-triggered light show, which pulsed and flared up in sync with the shimmering, metallic fury of the band's set.
