- All we needed to hear was that Swedish DJ Adam Beyer "never comes to the US," and we were there. Unfortunately, we were also still recovering from CMJ, so staying until his 2am set didn't happen for us. Instead, we arrived in time for Loco Dice, who could've been the headliner as far as we were concerned. The rippling vibrations of the bass were so deep that sitting against the wall was like using an electronic back massager. Each time Loco Dice (Mr. Dice?) slowed his growling techno workouts down, the club plunged into darkness. Then, as he chugged back into a steady throb, strobe lights backing up the builds, the crowd went wild, happy and free to gyrate until the wee morning hours (read: until we pooped out at 1:30am).
