Flavorpill says
The Drawing Center stands up for its humble medium amid the art world's shifting currents. Rarely flashy but always lively, the Center plays a vital role as both a curator of emerging talent and an exhibitor of drawing's rich history. Having introduced the public to major talents such as William Kentridge and Kara Walker, the Center continues to serve as the medium's most respected home.

drawing deserves some respect!
Hooray for giving drawing its due! It is such an integral part of every aspect of art no matter the medium and a wonderful, direct and often magical form in itself. It is the bottom line. I'm grateful that the Drawing Center exists.
I love the drawing center.
